Maeght Universe conference

Isabelle Maeght has been nourished by art since her early childhood. The granddaughter of Marguerite et Aimé Maeght, the founders of the gallery and the initiators of the foundation of Saint-Paul-de-Vence, Isabelle Maeght carries on the family's work by running the gallery and managing the archives and the collections. Since she was a child, she has been used to being surrounded by art and poetry and to interacting with the gallery's artists who were part of the great Maeght family. Aimé Maeght was in a way a visionary genius. He was not a common art dealer, in fact, he was an engraver before being a gallery owner, but he wa also a publisher, a documentary producer and a bold collector that worked with true passion and bourght living and the avant-garde art to the forefront. His collection includes exceptional pieces by the greatest artists of the XX century. Sculptures by Miró, Giacometti, Braque or Chagall are part of the Maeght constellation, a unique example of love for art.
