Workshop for families
- Event
If we were to spend a night out in the open, what could our refuge be like? Bivouacking is the practice of sleeping in the open without any structure for shelter. You depend on a sleeping-bag and a mat, and perhaps on a waterproof cover against wind and rain. The bivouac (Bevouac) exists since homo sapiens. For nomads, eating in the open air or sleeping by the starlight is a common practice. The location, especially if it’s made without any shelter, must be far from air currents. It has to be relatively horizontal and away from puddles, but close to water so as to stock up. When we leave, everything should be as we found it. Architecture without almost architecture. In this workshop we will create with our family temporary shelters in the fields of Chillida Leku.
